Our new project provides gardening training, work experience and support for people looking to get back in to work, and therapeutic gardening sessions for people with mental health issues.
Our garden officers, Sean and Leanne, run weekly sessions in the garden providing training and work experience in horticulture and gardening, with tailored individual support to help people develop and progress on to paid employment. Alongside these session we also provide therapeutic activities focused on helping people improve their mental health. The friendly, informal setting of the garden provides a safe and supportive environment where people can grow and flourish! Sessions run on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. This project is supported by Lloyds Bank Foundation and BUPA.
